Samsung Galaxy S2 users on T-Mobile get ready for Ice Cream Sandwich

Ice Cream Sandwich is finally ready for T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 users.

In a tweet message from T-Mobile, the wireless carrier is stating that the software update for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for the Galaxy S2 will become available on June 11.

One thing thought, the update will not occur over the air (OTA) but rather through Samsung’s Kies application available on Windows and OS X. The reason for this is that since this is rather a large update, it is more efficient to do it via your computer/ USB cable. Unfortunately, this step may prevent some people from updating.

Hopefully not as Android Ice Cream Sandwich will bring a new interface along with Samsung’s own Touchwiz UI. This update will also bring a new and improved camera interface along with better data usage monitoring. In the end it’s like getting a new phone, so don’t miss out on this update! More details to come on T-Mobile’s website.
