AT&T $29.99 Android smartphone – Huawei Impulse 4G

AT&T is preparing to launch on September 18, one of its most affordable Android smartphone, the Huawei Impulse 4G.

How affordable? well, for $29.99 with a two year contract with AT&T, you can have this low-end Huawei 4G device.
The Impulse comes loaded with Android 2.2 Froyo, an outdated version of Android. Just wondering, do low-end devices always have to use outdated software?

Regardless, back to the specs. The screen size on the Impulse is 3.8-inch. The phone features a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and flash. Amazingly enough, you can actually record HD videos with this phone. The Impulse 4G is also compatible with AT&T 4G network, so we can expect fast speed thanks to its HSPA+ compatibility.

For this price, your Android Huawei can also act as a GPS system, not bad after all, no? Perfect for users who just want a simple smartphone without any special extra features.
