India’s second largest Telecom, Reliance Communications company, has just released a very affordable Android tablet – the Reliance 3G Tab.
The tablet is available for 12,999 rupees (USD $288) and is actually a customized ZTE tablet made for Reliance Communications. The RCom tablet is a 7-inch tablet running Android 2.3 Gingerbread with 512 MB of RAM and up to 32 GB data storage via microSD card.
The Reliance 3G Tab comes with 2 cameras, one front and one rear camera. A GPS is also available on the RCom tablet. Specs wise, the Rcom tablet is no Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, but rather a very affordable Android tablet were most tablet costs double the price.
At this price, Reliance Communications is trying to grab a share of the expanding tablet market. The price is good, hopefully, the tablet performs just as good too.
Anyone with any input regarding cheap tablets? Are they really worth it? Or should one stay with brand tablets? Let us know!
