LG is reportedly launching a bar touchscreen Android phone with a full QWERTY keyboard – the Optimus Pro. The LG Optimus is similar to Huawei’s Boulder or even HTC’s Facebook phone the HTC Chacha.
The LG Optimus Pro boasts a 2.8-inch touchscreen under which you have a full QWERTY keyboard. This entry-level phone will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread and will most likely run on a 800MHz processor. The camera on the Optimus Pro is 3 megapixel and will only take basic pictures and video recording. Wi-Fi and GPS should be available on this budget phone.
The phone is already available in Italy where it retails for €179 (USD $250). The phone should be available worldwide shortly. LG has yet to release an official statement though.
