The Motorola Xoom tablet is finally available in Australia on Optus. Telstra launched the device last month along with the Motorola Atrix; Optus has only been able to offer the 10.1-inch Android tablet this week.

The Android 3.0 Honeycomb running tablet, will be available on Optus Data Cap Plus Plans from $0 to $54 plus additional monthly data charges depending on the length of your contract.

The Motorola Xoom tablet features a 1GHz dual-core processor with 1 GB of RAM. The tablet has two cameras – one 5-megapixel camera in the back and a 2-megapixel camera in the front. The Motorola Xoom also have an HDMI port.

One thing Optus did not mention regarding the Xoom is if they will have an update to it like Telstra. The update to Android 3.1 Honeycomb should resolve some initial issues the tablet had when it was first launched. Hopefully Opstus should follow Telstra upcoming update for the Motorola Xoom.
