Facebook is the biggest social network. Android is the smartphone OS with the highest market penetration. What more can we ask?
HTC just launched in India the first Facebook Android phone with the release of the HTC Salsa.
The HTC Salsa is a 3.4-inch capacitive touchscreen handset powered by a 800MHz processor with 512MB of RAM. The great thing about this phone is that it runs on the latest and greatest Android OS version 2.3 Gingerbread. But what’s even better with this social phone, is that you can now access Facebook from the touch of a button on your smartphone. That’s right, the HTC Salsa has a dedicated button for Facebook. So now, you can stay in touch with everyone just at the touch of a button.
Aside from this, the Salsa features dual-cameras with a back 5 megapixel camera, and a front facing camera for video calling.
The HTC Salsa is just one of the two HTC phone with Facebook integrated in it. The HTC Chacha should also be available shortly and includes a Facebook button as well. The only difference between the two is that the HTC ChaCha has a physical QWERTY keyboard.
The HTC Salsa should be available in India starting next week at the retail price of Rs 20,500 (USD $460).
