MSI introducing two Android tablets during Computex show

Micro-Star International (MSI), introduced during the 2011 Computex show in Taiwan two new Android tablets.

The WindPad Enjoy 10, is a 10-inch multi-touch Android tablet. The tablet will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread powered by a 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor. It will have 4GB of storage and 512MB of RAM. The WindPad Enjoy 10 will also have dual camera and Wi-Fi.

MSI also introduced a similar smaller version, the MSI WindPad Enjoy 7. Very similar to the MSI WindPad Enjoy 10, the MSI WindPad 7 will feature a 7-inch multi-touch screen.

The OS of choice for both tablet will be Android 2.3 Gingerbread and not Android 3.0 Honeycomb due to hardware/ software incompatibilities. Another factor to consider if you’re in the market for an Android tablet, MSI is stating that neither of these tablets can access the Android Market. MSI is however looking for a work around to this problem. Personally, if you can’t access the Android Market, what’s the point of the tablet?

Hopefully they will find something soon, as production is expected to start in July. Shipments will be sent first to the US. Europe and the rest of the world should follow after that. Expected price for these tablets is estimated to be under $300.
