Korea based Samsung Electronic is making great phones. Combine Samsung’s product with Android and you’ve got yourself a winner. The Samsung Galaxy line-up is the best selling Android phone so far.
Just to prove it, Samsung is stating that worldwide orders of its Samsung Galaxy S2 smartphone is totalling 3 million orders. Samsung is so confident in its phone that it is expecting to ship 10 million handset. Now that’s a high objective.
But this may be a realistic one, since initial pre-orders of the Samsung Galaxy S2 in Korea were around 200,000 whereas for the Iphone 4 were around 100,000. And we all know how hyped the Iphone is, so props to Samsung.
Just a quick overview of the Samsung Galaxy S2.
Using Super Amoled Plus technology, the 4.3-inch screen is just amazing to look at and as promised not so hard on the battery. The 1.2 GHz dual-core processor allows smooth home screen transitions and smooth app execution.
With a rear 8 megapixel camera combined with LED flash, you don’t really have an excuse to miss another picture shot; and with its front facing 2 megapixel camera, you can’t miss that important video conference.
The Samsung Galaxy S2 also comes with NFC technology, thought still in its infancy, it should pick up really fast as soon we get some good secure apps.
Software wise, Gingerbread is on board the Galaxy S2 and Samsung custom UI TouchWiz 4.0 overlays Google’s Android interface.
Overall, a great phone, very thin, very light, and most importantly very easy to use. A true Android phone.
