Android next Operating System name is going to be Ice Cream Sandwich, its something we’ve heard since the beginning of the year. But no official confirmation has been made on the matter. Well this isn’t a confirmation either, but an excerpt from a Google Android tech support leaks the information that a SweepGradient issue will be resolved in Android next OS version Ice Cream Sandwich.
We still dont know the numerical value of this next Android version; all we can speculate is that this version should be a mix between the current Android 2.3 Gingerbread and the tablet Android version 3.0 Honeycomb.
What will this new version bring? Probably some Google TV features, and hopefully a fragmentation tool to resolve the issue of the diverse variants of devices and OS version available in the Android world.
This next version of Android OS should be officially introduced at Google I/O conference in California on May 10.
