Another player in the tablet market – Lenovo

According to a leaked PowerPoint document from Chinese PC manufacturer Lenovo, an Android tablet is on its way.

Lenovo is among the latest manufacturer to enter the tablet market; it will do so by introducing this coming June a 10.1 inch Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet.
The ThinkPad Tablet will run popular Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor already found in the Motorola Xoom tablet and on the Motorola Atrix smartphone.
Multiple versions of the tablet will be available including a 16, 32 and 64-GB versions as well as 3G and 4G versions.

The main distinction of this tablet is the introduction of an optional stylus pen allowing the user to take note or even to perform sketches. Ideal users for this option seems to be business oriented individuals as well as educational users, institutions. Furthermore, the ThinkPad Tablet will also have an optional docking station similar to what the Motorola Atrix currently offers. This will turn the tablet into a more conventional laptop.

So with all this, does the ThinkPad Tablet stands a chance among all the tablets available out there? As usual, one main key factor is the price, and with a start price of $499, which is the same as the Ipad 2, the ThinkPad Tablet probably stands a chance.
